Kanke Appointees Review Chairman Golime's First Year, Pass a Vote of Confidence on Him, Endorse Governor Mutfwang for Second Term Kanke Local Government Appointees gathered today with their principal, Hon. Lapching Ezekiel Golime, to review the successes of his first year in office. Hon. Winston Gonung, Chairman of the organizing committee, opened the event by stating its purpose. Speaking on behalf of the appointees, he thanked the Executive Chairman for finding them worthy to work alongside him, calling the appointment a great honor. He offered congratulations on the milestone achieved within a year in office and prayed for God to strengthen the Chairman in the days ahead. In his response, Hon. Lapching Golime expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the people of Kanke. "Today, God gave us a collective mandate as a team, and I am happy that you all sat to appraise and review how far we have come as an administration," he stated. He commended the appointees for being thoughtful enough to organize the parley, noting that it shows they "have the government at heart and it is highly commendable." He used the opportunity to highlight his administration's achievements across various sectors, reiterating his commitment to bettering the lives of Kanke people. Hon. Golime further thanked Kanke people for keeping faith in his administration and for their continued prayers and support. He also specifically thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his open-door policy and ensuring the administration's presence is felt in Kanke. He urged the appointees to maintain a strong working relationship with their constituents in their respective political wards, stressing that his administration is committed to making impacts in every ward, God willing. Sharing part of his plans for the coming year, he announced intentions to construct markets in Amper, Dawaki, and Langshi to boost local businesses and enhance revenue. He equally expressed his commitment to boost the traditional and conventional security presence in the council area before the end of his tenure. A major highlight of the event was the unanimous vote of confidence passed on the administration of the Executive Chairman, and subsequently endorsing of Governor Caleb Mutfwang for a second term in 2027. Other highlights included the cutting of a celebratory cake which the Executive Chairman dedicated it to one of his appointee marking her birthday today, Joy Dimka & other celebrants, and a paper presentation by Hon. Wuripba Ebenezer Chinang, Liaison Officer to Governor Mutfwang, representing Pankshin North Constituency. Hon. Chinang spoke on the topic: "Effective Pathways for Sustainable Development," where he charged the appointees to sustain and complement the developmental strides achieved by the Lapching-led administration.
